Sarah Dobson

Ms. Dobson attended SHPEP in 2017 at Howard University. A Richmond, VA native, she received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Neuroscience from Virginia Tech in 2019. Currently, Ms. Dobson is a class of 2024 Doctor of Dental Surgery candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry.

Sarah Dobson

After participating in SHPEP and completing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Dobson completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Virginia Department of Social Services Headquarters in Richmond, VA where she worked on the governor’s task force to help those with substance use disorder across the state. Motivated by her SHPEP experience, Ms. Dobson is pursuing dentistry to positively impact those who face health and social inequities. She is involved in many initiatives that aim to improve access to care, provide mentorship to aspiring health professionals, and increase diversity in healthcare.
