Osteopathic medicine is a distinct form of medical practice in the United States. Osteopathic medicine provides all of the benefits of modern medicine including prescription drugs, surgery, and the use of technology to diagnose disease and evaluate injury.

It also offers the added benefit of hands-on diagnosis and treatment through a system of therapy known as osteopathic manipulative medicine. Osteopathic medicine emphasizes helping each person achieve a high level of wellness by focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.

AACOM provides leadership for the osteopathic medical education community by promoting excellence in medical education, research and service, and by fostering innovation and quality across the continuum of osteopathic medical education to improve the health of the American public.

AACP is an organization committed to education and scholarship for improving drug therapy. Their mission is to advance pharmacy education, research, scholarship, practice and service, in partnership with members and stakeholders, to improve health for all.

AACPM is a nationally recognized education organization that represents the nine accredited U.S. colleges of podiatric medicine as well as over 200 hospitals and organizations that conduct graduate training in podiatric medicine. The Association serves as a national forum for the exchange of ideas, and issues information relating to podiatric medical education.

The AAVMC inspires and promotes excellence in academic veterinary medicine. The AAVMC’s advocacy, innovation and data-driven information helps member institutions improve performance and shape a better future for the academic veterinary medical community worldwide.

Founded in 1859, the not-for-profit ADA is the nation’s largest dental association, representing more than 157,000 dentist members. Since then, the ADA has become the leading source of oral health-related information for dentists and their patients. The ADA is committed to its members and to improving oral health for the public.

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is the voice of dental education. ADEA members include all 79 U.S. and Canadian dental schools,  more than 800 allied and advanced dental education programs, more than 50 corporations and approximately 15,000 individuals.

Dental education is a broad and varied field that trains people as general dentists, specialists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental laboratory technicians. ADEA membership mirrors this diversity. ADEA members determine best practices for dental education and encourage changes in dental education programs and institutions that will benefit everyone. ADEA advocates for public policy issues essential to dental educators and researchers, especially access to dental care, a necessary element to improved oral health.

Since its founding in 1923, ADEA has existed to serve the curious youngster wondering how to become a dentist, the hardworking educator training the dental professionals of the future, and those striving for scientific or public policy improvements in oral health care.

ADEA GoDental is an innovative initiative of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) that provides students interested in pursuing careers in dentistry and dental hygiene with the information and guidance they need to apply to programs, matriculate and eventually fulfill their career goals. ADEA GoDental aspires to reach students from a variety of backgrounds to supply the dental and dental hygiene workforce needed to meet the evolving oral health needs of a diverse society. The website is a joint initiative involving ADEA, health professions advisors, dental schools and their administrators, current dental students and practitioners.

AOSA is the primary resource for providing supplemental, student-focused educational opportunities yearlong.
